By no
means,
did we do our normal
Thanksgiving Holiday this year.
And I
LOVED it!
NO
day of deep cleaning to get ready for guests.
NO early rising or day on my feet cooking.
NO
standing on my feet doing dishes and cleaning up.
NO
left overs to find room for in the refrigerator.
I felt like a child again,
no worries,
no work,
no dishes.
We
celebrated Thanksgiving on Tuesday with a trip to Kdaughters
home 2 hours away. We left late afternoon and stopped at our
favorite coffee spot for a delicious cup of that gogogo with
steamed milk. YUM!
We
arrived there to find the Thanksgiving meal prepared and ready to
eat, complete with hot rolls and pumpkin cheesecake. We ate till our
bellies were full. We loaded the dishwasher and talked... and talked... and talked. WONDERFUL!
We
spent Wednesday window shopping and talking, and walking, and more
talking. We ate some delicious leftovers and turkey and noodles for
dinner. My favorite! DELICIOUS! Then we ordered movies and
watched them on the big screen with surround sound in the media room.
FUN!
For
the first time in 35 years,
I slept late on Thanksgiving and
woke up to a big breakfast. Then we cybershopped for some great deals
in our pajamas, in our recliners, eating cheesecake. I even got to
sit quietly and enjoy several massages in the heated massage chair
listening to my favorite music. RELAXING!
Then
we headed home and again stopped at our favorite coffee spot for some
delicious gogogo with steamed milk. YUM, again!
I
loved it.
I
felt blessed.
I
hope we do it again next year.
