Happy Valentine's Day!

It's been
COLD & CLOUDY & WINDY
here in the Southwest Corner of Missouri.

But today I want to
wish all of you
A
HAPPY
VALENTINE'S
DAY!

Hug someone you love!

This heart on our television appeared when
I downloaded the photos to my laptop.
No picmonkey here,
and you cannot see it in any of the other
photos I took of the same area.

Have a Great and Full Day!

Just a note...
I've been fighting a sinus/allergies, headache with swollen eyes. I have had a hard time wearing my glasses for the past couple of weeks.  Hopefully it will go away on its own very soon.  Thank you to the pharmacist at Walgreens for explaining all of the different over-the-counter remedies. Friends and family have been frequenting the urgent care facilities for various forms of bronchitis, upper respiratory infections, and even pneumonia.  Mine is just a headache, so I feel blessed.

Grays of Winter

 Baby, it's cold outside.

The wind is blowing and stirring up the snow,
moving it one direction, then changing direction again.
Snowflakes are hitting me in the face,
one, and then another, and another.

We spent most of the morning rescheduling appointments and answering emails.  We work with some amazing and  dedicated people who are always in touch. Even if they are at home on a snow day, the work continues to get done.

This is the view out my kitchen window
overlooking one of our flags and the pecan and walnut grove.
Today it is filled with beautiful snowflakes falling amidst the "grays of winter".

------------------------

We have many bird houses, martin houses, and feeders scattered about our neighborhood.
We also have many large birds.
They are always alone.  With their knees bending backwards,
they slowly walk along the bank of the pond
blending in with the "grays of winter".

------------------------------

I went for a brief and chilly walk this morning.
The snow was blowing side ways across the pond
and whipping around the house in the wind.

The "grays of winter"
are everywhere.

I am prepared.

I have a plan.

Thank you for stopping by!

Joining Bloglovin

Well it's Super Bowl Sunday at our house.

I am baking the sweets, cousin is making a large roaster full of chili, everyone is bringing appetizers, so there will be lots to eat and plenty of laughter while we enjoy the big game.

I missed a few days of posting and commenting on my favorite blogs.  I tried to keep up with my reading and enjoyed everyone's posts and comments.  Special thanks to Linda, Tete, Sandy and Debbie for staying in touch, your words of encouragement are special hugs in my day.  I had a setback with some health issues that put me down for a few days. This happens from time to time. It feels so good to be back on the road to energy and stamina again!

I have had many problems with my Google Chrome log in.  I get multiple windows telling me that my log in can not be completed, then my computer would log off.  I delete these error messages and then it does it again.  I added my Ipad to my devices so I wondered if that had something to do with it.  So I installed Chrome to my Ipad and now I am still getting the multiple error messages on my laptop but Chrome is staying open.

I went looking for a new blog reader after seeing it posted on several blogs.  I knew nothing about them so I just had to jump in and take a shot at it.  I have signed up for Bloglovin and here is my link:

I am looking forward to learning how to use it. If anyone has any helpful hints or ideas, I would appreciate them.  I may have to drop my Google Chrome if I can't get these errors fixed.

Just a few thoughts today as I have a weeks worth of laundry, house cleaning and refrigerator duties to catch up on.  I think I will turn on my Spotify, put in my head phones and listen to some Marvin Gaye singing "What's goin on" while I work.

Thanks for coming by today!

Five Minute Friday - HERO

She told me to get up, get moving, and to put some oxygen in those veins. It was a difficult day. A day that I thought I might not live through. Even when I was at the point of total mental exhaustion, she wouldn't allow me to give up. No matter how hard the days, how difficult the situation, or how much it hurt, she encouraged me to go on. She reminded me of better times ahead, of days with no pain or bad news. That days filled with sunshine and laughter were still possible.

She reminded me that

I was loved.

She listened as I cried when the pain was unbearable and encouraged me to fight this battle with all my might, everyday, every hour, every minute, with every breath that God gave me.

She never gave up on me.

She has climbed every mountain that has been before her. She is an amazing woman. I will cherish her forever. I will always honor her.

For I am,

my

HERO.

Every Friday Lisa posts a word to be used as a subject that we can then take five minutes to write about, unedited, without thinking, stopping when the five minutes is up.
This was my "Five Minutes" today.
