It's Not Who You Know,

It's Who You Are

A book, a good book by Pat Williams, Senior  Vice President of the NBA's Orlando Magic.  I must tell you that I enjoyed every page of this book.  It is filled with entertaining short stories about famous people that Pat has met throughout his life.  Little bits and pieces of life changing moments over a long career.

It is written in 5 parts: Part One is titled Success and  features clips about Sam Walton and Ted Williams. I learned a little about each one of them.

Part Two is titled Leadership and features clips about Walt Disney, Colin Powell and Tommy Lasorda. The list goes on and on, the funny stories will make you chuckle, and the insights into people is a life learning experience.

This book is an enjoyable read for all ages. And because this book is published by Revelle, it is a gift worthy, high quality hardback book.   In fact, I think I will order one for my Uncle. You can get it also as a ereader on Amazon.com or as I just described in a beautifully bound hardback.

Thanks for stopping by!

No, I am not dead...

I have just been gone.

Not sure where,
just way too busy to think,
I guess.

I had to prioritize,
and as usual,
my blog, had to wait.

We had many cloudy,
dreary days this past winter
that were windy and freezing cold.

The snowy weather was beautiful,
but made life a bit harder
to get from here to there.

But today it is sunny,
the snow has melted,
and there is a hint of green
poking through the grass.

Reminding me that spring
is just around the corner.

Reminding me of what
is really important...

Prayers please, as he is needing
five heart procedures over the next couple of months and
Mom and Dad are staying round the clock at the NICU.

I will try to get around to visit.
My body has it's own way of slowing my life down,
making me rest, eat better and
pay more attention to it's rules.
See you soon!
