Monday's Post-Its...

Today I want to share something that I have been using for FREE for almost 6 years.

Apache Open Office

I had a friend who shared this information with me and I have been using it ever since.

I was using Microsoft Office Products that came already installed on my computer.

Well, my computer got old and had to be replaced. So I ordered a new one from Dell and they asked me if I wanted the Microsoft Office Suite installed. Of course, until I heard how much... just too much for me.

I needed a good word processor/publishing software and a spreadsheet program but the price for the Microsoft Package almost made me fall out of my chair.

Apache Open Office is just like the Microsoft products. It has a word processor, spreadsheet, and publishing program. If you need to share files with someone who has those programs, Open Office will import/export it's files into their format.

AND IT IS FREE!

Just thought I would share this information today
just in case you have not heard of it before!
You can go to http://www.openoffice.org/
and download it for free!

Thanks for stopping by!

As life goes...
It is Monday, and it has been a 2 Tylenol day.  Printer problems which have taken me about three hours to fix on a day that is cold, dark and windy. My bones just don't like days like today. I am dreaming of warm and sunny days and it isn't even January yet.

    1. My Kodak printer only lasted a year so I bought an HP and it only lasted a year, both were replaced in warranty, but I use them very little and wonder why they don't last? And they always quit after I've just replaced the ink cartridges!

  2. I just realized that your blog had dropped off my reader. I think you must be tied to Google plus and my blog keeps kicking those blogs out. Anyway- you are back on my reader now. xo Diana

  5. thanks for the info about Apache Open Office. I've never heard of it before. We will be getting a new desktop computer soon since ours is old and outdated. I'll keep that program in mind if we need an alternate solution.
