Worms are so important!

QUOTE FOR MY DAY: Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. Albert Einstein

Doesn't everyone have a container of fishing worms in their garage refrigerator? Next to the beer, pop, and extra ketchup?

Worms, night crawlers to be specific, are good for the soul.

Keeping them comfortable in the garage refrigerator and having them ready to throw on a hook is important at our house. We live near a great fishing hole that you can only access by wearing hiking boots or riding a four-wheeler. It is hidden in the trees, surrounded by blackberry bushes, and oak trees.

It is a five minute walk, or a 15 minute ride. Riding the four wheeler back there requires extra time as there are mountains of chat hills to climb, rocks to crawl over, and puddles to splash thru. Then when you get there, you can hear the quiet... real quiet. Or maybe a dog barking.

Plan on getting dirty. Wear your old jeans, a pair of rubber boots, and an old ball cap. There is a small creek to cross, high weeds and bushes to walk thru, and of course the mud and low lying trees. It is better than any gym membership or a timed treadmill walk.

It is a place to tune out the world, turn off your phone, and think about... nothing. Absolutely nothing.

All you have to do is get dirty...
